Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about joining Hara's online ballet classes. Can't find your answer? Get in touch.

Are the ballet classes online?

Yes. All group classes and private lessons are taught live online, so you can join from anywhere in the world. Every exercise is designed for small spaces and adapted for safe practice at home.

Are the classes suitable for adult beginners?

Yes. The Ballet for Beginners & Improvers class is designed for adults with little or no ballet experience, as well as those returning after a break. The Ballet Workout requires no previous dance experience either.

Do I need previous ballet experience to join?

Not for the Beginners & Improvers or Ballet Workout classes, which welcome complete beginners. The Intermediate/Advanced class assumes some prior ballet training, as it is aimed at experienced dancers, dance teachers, and current or former professionals.

What classes does Hara Dance Classes offer?

Four options, all taught online for ages 16 and over: Ballet Intermediate/Advanced (Vaganova technique), Ballet for Beginners & Improvers, Ballet Workout (a ballet- and Pilates-inspired body-conditioning class), and one-to-one Private Lessons.

Who teaches the classes?

All classes are taught by Hara Kyriazi, a Greek dance teacher, performer and lecturer with over ten years of teaching experience, including building a thriving dance community in Oxford. She holds an MA with Distinction from Rambert School (2024).

What ages are the classes for?

Group classes are for ages 16 and over. Private lessons can be tailored to individual goals, level, and needs.

How do I book, and how much do classes cost?

Pricing is shared directly when you get in touch, so Hara can recommend the right class for your level and goals. To enquire or book, use the contact form, email dance.harak@gmail.com, or message @hara_kyriazi on Instagram.

What do I need to take part in an online class?

A device with a camera and an internet connection, a little clear floor space, and comfortable clothing. Classes are designed for small spaces, so a living room works well.
